Prepayment of Course Fees

All course fees must be received by Basic Firearms Training (hereinafter referred to as “BFT”) at the time of course registration. Course registration is not complete, and a student’s seat is not reserved until full payment is received.

Students may add additional courses (e.g., a non-resident CCW or BSIS course) at the time of registration. Payment for additional courses is accepted at the time of the addition.

Course Rescheduling

Students may reschedule all courses without additional fees 14 or more days prior to the start of their course.
Students who reschedule between 3 and 13 days prior to the start of their course will be subject to a $25 rescheduling fee.
Students may only reschedule their original course date one time. After one schedule change, the refund policy applies.
No reschedules will be made within 3 calendar days of the course start date or for no-shows.
Students dismissed for unsafe or disruptive behavior will not be allowed to reschedule.
All course schedule changes must be made via email to registration@basicfirearmstraining.net.

Refunds

A 50% refund, minus a $25 administrative fee, is provided if a student cancels 7 or more days prior to the course.
A 30% refund, minus a $25 administrative fee, is provided if a student cancels between 3 and 6 calendar days prior to the course.
No refunds within 3 days of the course or for students who fail to attend any part of the course.
No refunds for students who cannot pass the course exams or shooting qualifications.
Full refunds are provided if a course is canceled by BFT for any reason, including not meeting minimum enrollments.

Student Responsibilities

Adhere to all classroom policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Pay attention and participate to successfully pass courses, including exams and shooting qualifications.
Ensure compliance with state/federal laws regarding firearm possession.
Know and follow the CCW issuance policies of the issuing agency.
Notify BFT promptly of any changes or cancellations.

Unsafe and Disruptive Behavior

BFT prioritizes safety and a learning-friendly environment.
Disruptive or unsafe students may be dismissed without prior warning.
Dismissed students cannot reschedule or enroll in future courses without preapproval.
BFT may require additional safety courses before reenrollment.

Class Remediation

Written exams may be retaken 1 time on the same day unless a local, state, or federal law or regulation requires something different.
Shooting qualifications may be retaken up to 2 times (total 3 attempts) on the same day if time allows.
Students must pay for any additional firearm, ammunition, or range fees.
Students failing remediation will not receive certificates and must pay full registration to retake the course.
BFT may require prerequisite courses prior to reenrollment.

Updates to Terms and Conditions

BFT reserves the right to evaluate and modify these terms at any time with or without notice.
