This 4-hour Arrests, Search & Seizure course is an elective course for BSIS licensed security officers in California.

This course may be used to satisfy either:

1. 4 of the 16-hours of elective training required to obtain a Guard Card.
2. 4 of the 8-hours of required annual continuing education.
3. General knowledge of arrests, search & seizure for security personnel.

Per BSIS requirements, this course is more advanced than the Power to Arrest course and includes the following topics:

1. Penal Code Sections 836 & 837 and their differences
2. United States Constitution & Amendments impacting security officer responsibilities
3. Loss Prevention
4. Merchant Law
5. Use of Force
