Access Control Course Overview
This 2-hour Access Control course is an elective course for BSIS licensed security officers in California.
This course may be used to satisfy either:
- 2 of the 16-hours of elective training required to obtain a Guard Card.
- 2 of the 8-hours of required annual continuing education.
- General knowledge of access control for security personnel.
Per BSIS requirements, this course includes the following topics:
- Identification procedures
- Electronic use / CCTV (i.e. electronic means of controlling access)
- Non-electronic procedures (i.e. manual means of controlling access)
