CCW DOJ Certified Instructor Qualification Overview
This qualification satisfies the shooting qualification requirement (part C of the BOF 1034 application) for those applying for or renewing a California Department of Justice CCW Instructor License, or “CCW DOJ Certified Instructor.”
CCW DOJ Certified Instructors must qualify every 4 years. Qualifications must be completed within the 6 months prior to the submission of your BOF 1034 application.
Upon successful completion of the qualification, the instructor will complete and sign part C of your DOJ BOF Form 1034 and provide a copy of the instructor’s certifications to submit with your BOF Form 1034.
What you’ll need for the qualification:
- State issued Driver License or ID
- Your completed (except part C) BOF Form 1034
- Eye and ear protection
- Firearm and at least 2 magazines or speed loaders
- Serviceable holster (concealed or exposed)
- Magazine or speed loader pouch
- 24 rounds of ammunition
