Where are your courses located?

Basic Firearms Training’s courses are based in Sacramento County, California. The specific location of each course varies depending on the logistical requirements for each course (e.g. a shooting range, a training room with heavy bags for baton strikes, etc.) The course location will be listed for each class.​

Yes! Basic Firearms Training possesses Training Facility Firearms and Training Facility Baton licenses – TFF #1719 and TFB #1434. Instructors are also licensed by BSIS.​

The initial class may be taken in conjunction with your California CCW class. Permit renewals are done online via the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification.​

Yes! Basic Firearms Training’s CCW course curriculum and instructor licensing are compliant with Senate Bill 2 requirements.​

To obtain a non-resident Utah CFP, you need to:
• compete an approximately 4-hour Utah CFP course
• complete a fingerprint card (blank card provided in class)
• get a 2”x2” passport quality photo
• mail in your completed course certification / application (same form and is provided in class), fingerprint card, copy of your driver license, 2”x2” passport quality photo, and payment to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI)
• Allow Utah BCI 60 days to process your application and send your CFP
Note: this class can be taken by itself or in conjunction with your California CCW class. ​
