This 8-hour firearms safety course covers a variety of topics to include, but not limited to: firearms safety, ammunition safety, safe storage laws, shooting fundamentals, and laws regarding the permissible use of firearms in California.

Because most people taking a court ordered safety class are prohibited from possessing and/or handling firearms until their case is resolved, students will not handle or discharge firearms during this course. Instead, students will watch the instructor demonstrations in the classroom.

To complete the course, students must:

• Be present for the entire course.
• Pass a written examination.

Upon course completion, students will be provided with a certificate of completion to provide to their attorney and/or court.

• Valid Driver License or state issued ID
• Note taking materials
• Safe and positive attitude and an open mind
• Snacks / beverages / lunch
