This 4-hour BSIS Liability / Legal Aspects course is required for all prospective licensed security officers in California.

Aside from the 8-hour Power to Arrest & Appropriate Use of Force course, security officers must complete 16 hours of mandatory training and 16 hours of elective training.

The 4 mandatory classes are:

• Public Relations (Community & Customer)
• Observation & Documentation
• Communication & its Significance
• Liability / Legal Aspects

The Liability / Legal Aspects course topics include, but are not limited to:

• Personal / Contractor / Employer
• Criminal, Civil, Administrative
• BSIS Code & Regulations
• Role of a Security Guard
